The International TESOL Accrediting Authority is a legal body comprised of a registered company with directors selected from world leading academics. Its authority is to accredit TESOL certificate programs.

TESOL Certificates in Korea.

I-TAA has received advice from the Ministry of Education regarding TESOL Certificates.

A summary includes:-

a) On-line certificates will NOT be accepted in Korea
b) Only courses that have 120 provable hours will be accepted
c) For Korean teachers, only TESOL Certificates provided by Korean universities or Foreign universities situated in Australia, Canada, USA, UK. Sth Africa and New Zealand will be accepted.
d) Joint courses where the certificate includes the foreign university as above will be accepted for certification in the case of Korean teachers
e) Foreigners Certificates will be examined for (i) listing with I-TAA (ii) actual and provable 120 hour studies
